COPENHAGEN EVENT COMPANY’S SUSTAINABILITY EFFORT: IN A RACE FOR (MORE) SUSTAINABILITY IN EVENTS

Copenhagen Event Company has a code of conduct on how to deliver events and conferences in a more responsible way. As a member of the UN’s global programme, Race to Zero*, we have pledged to halve our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and become net neutral by 2050 at the latest. This also means that we can assist with carbon calculations for your next event or conference.

MAKE YOUR EVENT PART OF THE GREEN AGENDA

The event sector brings people together and facilitates experiences and learning. At the same time, the industry has a significant footprint.

To positively influence the industry, Copenhagen Event Company is working strategically with sustainability. Both in our own operations and – in the long run – in all types of events. By identifying the challenges and opportunities of each individual event, we tailor realizable solutions focusing on strategic and measurable actions.

When working with us you will not only be at the forefront of future requirements and legislation. You will also benefit from our extensive experience at the same time.

SAME COMPANY– NEW POSSIBILITIES

Responsibility is a key word for the work we do in Copenhagen Event Company. Working in an industry with a significant footprint, we work closely with our suppliers to reduce and refine our services to impel the services we offer. Regardless if your company has already committed to Race to Zero or works strategically with sustainability in general, we are here to support you throughout the work with your event or meeting.

It’s important to us to be ahead of new and upcoming requirements and legislation (e.g., CSRD, CSDD etc.), which is why we have upgraded our team with a sustainability consultant from January 1st 2023.

KEEP UP WITH OUR PROGRESS ON SUSTAINABILITY

As a Race to Zero member, under the auspices of SME Climate Hub, we are obliged to register our progress annually by, among other things, measuring our greenhouse gas emissions via the  Normative Business Carbon Calculator and reporting our progress to the  UNFCCC. Read more about the Race to Zero programme, measurements requirements at  SMECLIMATEHUB.ORG. Furthermore, we have decided to implement the only globally recognized sustainability standard for the event and meetings industry, ISO 20121. In the process we challenge our suppliers, optimize our operations and work closely with our customers to promote the sustainable transition.
